As a result, gamification can enhance students' engagement, increase their motivation toward learning, promote collaboration among peers, aid with knowledge retention, provide instant feedback, and establish a positive, personalized learning environment. On the other hand, some challenges in applying gamification in education include being expensive to develop, diminish in value over time, assessment challenges, retaining information, cheating, and regulatory and legal issues.
